Join the administration team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC sub-delegation in Cotabato is looking for a:
Finance and Administration Manager
based in Cotabato City
MAIN TASKS:
Financial control
· Ensures the integrity of financial and analytical accounting and reporting in the sub-delegation, and also supervises the accounting department, prepares the annual budget or monthly forecast, and reports/analyzes financial risks.
· Assesses the financial situation (including treasury) of the sub-delegation, and acts as the advisor on all financial/economic affairs for the humanitarian project teams.
· Tailors institutional guidelines and policies to the local context, and ensures strict implementation or adherence of the same, with the purpose of assuring compliance with ethical standards and mitigation of financial risks.
· Acts as a co-signatory and finance interface for both authorities and commercial parties (suppliers, banks, etc.).
· Steers the implementation or alignment of all activities related to ICRC's compliance program in the country, being the internal focal point for finance-related compliance matters.
Office management
· Oversees the financial and day-to-day-management of offices and operational premises, maintains an adequate security set-up, and ensures safe and secure accommodation of all mobile staff members.
· Supervises the internal travel desk and takes charge of travel arrangements (flights/accommodation/pickup) in the sub-delegation.
Human resources
· Acts as the human resources responsible for staff members under resident contract, in close coordination with the country HR Manager, and makes sure that regular activities throughout the HR cycle are conducted in line with internal polices and local (labour) laws.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
A successful candidate will:
· Possess a university degree in business administration, finance/accounting or human resources
· Have at least six (6) years of confirmed practical experience in finance, management, or human resources, including at least one (1) year in financial controlling or accounting
· Have strong analytical and quantitative skills to dedicate to a humanitarian/non-profit organization
· Have strong command of IT office tools
· Be strongly motivated by humanitarian work
· Be open-minded and adaptable
· Be responsible, well-organized and solution-oriented
· Be capable of running a team (natural leadership qualities) and interest in diversity management
· Have propensity for working with numbers and for management
· Be good at both listening to others and maintaining confidentiality, intercultural skills
· Have excellent ability to work in a team and under pressure in a potentially dangerous environment
