Job Description
PURPOSE, SCOPE AND IMPACT
The Trainer drives and delivers Learning & development LnD programmes according to the objectives defined for the Regional LnD Unit and contributes to the strategic orientation and evolution of learning programmes at a local, regional and global level
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts and facilitates LnD training programmes both distance learning/facilitation and face-to-face learning/facilitation.
Contributes to the design and development, as well as evaluations of LnD training programmes.
Contributes to and/or conducts to the unit’s learning needs analyses.
Contributes to planning and development of the Regional LnD Unit: budget, training programmes, etc.
Contributes to formulating LnD training regional and global priorities/strategies.
actively involved in the organisation (administrative, logistical) of LnD programmes.
Leads the development of tailor-made capacity building initiatives (i.e. training events) when requested.
Supervises, and/or coaches other trainer(s), training relay(s) and course administrators where applicable.
Ensures reporting related to her/his function.
Acts as lead for specific LnD programmes and as such is part of the development team for the programme(s) in question, interacting closely with the person in charge of that programme.
Undertakes regional implementation, coordination and general support, of knowledge management activities.
Promotes the concept of professional excellence and knowledge exchange in the region.
RELATIONSHIPSInternally, interacts with relevant LnD and/or métier colleagues, Pool Managers and HR Manager, LnD Regional Units, LnD Geneva and/or relevant departments in Geneva, and with participants in learning programmes.
• Externally, interacts with other training providers and/or other LnD professionals.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
University degree or equivalent.
Fluent knowledge of English and Arabic.
Computer proficiency.
3 years overall professional experience.
ICRC Field experience (minimum 3 years in at least 2 contexts) OR min 3 years’ experience in training design and delivery externally.
