Join the Movement Cooperation team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC delegation is looking for:
Movement Cooperation Officer
(Based in Makati)
The Movement Cooperation Officer contributes to developing and implementing the delegation's objectives for cooperation with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (the Movement) in line with the ICRC’s Movement policies and in consultation with the local operating National Society (NS). S/he contributes to building positive relationships between the ICRC and other Movement components, particularly the NS of the country where s/he is assigned.
MAIN TASKS:
Assumes main responsibility for the Cooperation file on operational partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)
Facilitates frequent and regular exchange of information between ICRC and PRC in reference to operational partnerships
Supports the Movement Cooperation Officers in the field in developing procedures and guidelines for joint activities
Supports the operational coordination of ICRC with PRC and/or other Movement Partners working in ICRC priority areas
Ensures a routine reporting to his/her direct and functional supervisors on operational concerns and issues between ICRC and PRC
Provides support in defining relevant strategies for operational capacity building for priority PRC chapters
Regularly visits ICRC field sites and provides advice; extends support and coaching to Movement Cooperation Officers specifically, but not limited to, in its operations partnership with the PRC chapters
Prepares the necessary documentation for meetings and transcribes minutes of meetings, when applicable
Assists in the implementation and roll-out of the Cooperation activities
REQUIRED PROFILE:
A successful candidate will have:
At least 3 years’ work experience in a field relevant to Movement Cooperation
A bachelor’s degree in a related field
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Good computer skills
As an asset, a successful candidate may have:
- Experience working in a similar field in an international setting with the ICRC or other Movement Components
