Join the Health team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC delegation is looking for:
Health Field Officer
(Based in Makati)
The Health Field Officer (HFO) contributes to the implementation, running, and monitoring of the health program in detention, under the supervision of the detention doctor, and according to the objectives set out in the delegation’s annual planning. S/he will be part of a flexible and mutually supportive team, where each member is responsible for an area of responsibility and specific files, but all HFOs are expected to be able to support each other in carrying out their tasks when needed.
MAIN TASKS:
Implements health in detention activities within his/her geographic area or field of responsibility/ expertise
Conducts assessments and regular field visits in detention facilities and provide support to improve access to healthcare and healthcare delivery
Organizes medical assistance to detention facilities as well as individual medical assistance to sick and wounded detainees, in line with administrative and logistic procedures and requirements
Ensures proper management of information collected and relevant reporting
Serves as focal point for issues related to non-communicable disease management in detention settings
Liaises and builds networks with local stakeholders to facilitate communication on and coordination of activities
Helps organize meetings and provide support on regional/national workshops related to health in detention
Interprets at meetings and translates documents into local languages
REQUIRED PROFILE:
A successful candidate will have:
At least 4 years’ work experience as Doctor / Nurse in the health field
Registered with the Professional Regulation Commission
Very good command of spoken and written English and Tagalog
Knowledge of non-communicable diseases
Knowledge of public health and Philippine health system
As an asset, a successful candidate may have:
Experience in non-communicable disease management and implementation of related measures
Advance degree in Public Health
