The ICRC Delegation in Libya – temporarily located in Tunis - seeks to fill the following position:

Audio-Visual Producer, 100% The position is based in Tunis with frequent travel to all areas of Libya

Our successful candidate will have a proven track record in the digital production work that will enable them to independently execute media projects related to the Communication department. A background in (studies or experience) social media, cinematology, humanitarian work would be of added value. They will have an ability to establish and maintain a network of internal and external contacts that will ensure a smooth and effective running of the department requirements. A pleasant, social, solution-oriented personality with utmost respect of confidentiality is a definite must.

Main Responsibilities: General: • Supports the ICRC public communication work by producing, promoting and distributing audiovisual news material for broadcasting and digital content (web videos, photography and others). Advises on the best methods (including use of news footage and social videos) to support key campaigns and intiatives

Communication and Networking • In charge of planning, producing (from the concept stage to the final product, including commisioning content, carrying out film missions and scriptwriting),promoting and distributing communication products that target television and digital news broadcasters • Stays up to date with all the latest technologies and media trends and shares with department • Maintains a proper digital storage of all material • Develops and maintains a network of external contacts with broadcasters, agencies and other media platforms

Training • Supports and coaches communication staff on optimum audiovisual techniques

Travel • Flexibility to travel (sometimes at short notice) within most of Libya.

Selection Requirements and Experience: • University Degree in Media or any related field • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic. • Knowledge of Libyan social media landscape and local culture • Ability to produce high quality work with accuracy and attention to details • Must treat all information with the utmost confidentiality • Respects diversity and enjoys working in a multi-national, multi-ethnic environment • Good time management skills, even under pressure • Excellent computer skills particularly video and phot editing
