The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Libya Delegation temporarily located in Tunis, is recruiting an HR Assistant based in the Libyan Support Unit (LSU) in Tunis. The HR Assistant reports to the HR Manager based in Tunis and contribute to HR administration and HR services delivery for the Libya delegation, in close coordination with the HR teams in LSU and in Libya.

Her / his main responsibilities will be:

HR Support -Answer employees’ questions on HR Matters and provide guidance when relevant . -Organize and supervise interview schedules and written tests for candidates. -Deliver HR briefings to new employees and follow up their induction period. HR Administration -Maintain HR data bases and information accurate and up to date. -Collect and update Job Descriptions. -Follow-up probation period and contracts’ renewals. -Process, check and send monthly data needed for the payroll (new employee’s information and variable data) for LSU employees. -Record & follow-up employees’ absences on weekly basis, inform managers and staff accordingly. -Explain health insurance procedures to employees, collect and process medical bills accordingly. -Provide administrative support to the HR Manager.

Required background, skills and experience:  -University degree with major in HR or professional diploma  -Minimum 3 years' experience in Human Resources, additional experience in administrative and / or support roles an asset  -Fluent (written and spoken) in English, French and Arabic  -Proven planning and organizing skills, attention to details and capacity to manage multiple tasks while maintaining priorities, with diligent approach of administrative tasks  -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to adapt and interact constructively with others  -Capacity to handle a lot of sensitive information with strict confidentiality and ethics  -Service oriented and flexible with strong team spirit  -Computer literate (MS Office), excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint  -Genuine interest in humanitarian activities (especially ICRC's), previous experience in humanitarian environment an asset
