Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities
- Maintains an overview of Movement-wide initiatives relevant to Resource Mobilization in Asia-Pacific (e.g. SMCC, NSIA)
- Ensures alignment of ICRC’s Asia Pacific fundraising plan of action with other Movement coordination and cooperation files.
- Supports the Head of Private Sector Fundraising Engagement AP in the development of and engagement around frameworks and modalities for Movement collaboration on resource mobilization in the Asia-Pacific region
- Connects and coordinates with ICRC cooperation colleagues in delegations around Movement engagement regarding ICRC’s Resource Mobilization Strategy and the SIP.
- Advises, briefs and coordinates with colleagues on input and engagement around regional resource mobilization initiatives including regional and global Movement fundraising networks.
- Works closely together with REM colleagues in Geneva to input to broader SIP foundational objectives with a regional lens.
- Engages directly with colleagues in the IFRC regional offices to co-ordinate joint fundraising efforts within the region, e.g. IFLF Peer Review, regional and global skillshares etc.
Provides support for other queries and activities relating to National Societies, Movement Resource Mobilization and relevant Movement initiatives as required. Professional Experience required
Ideally 6-9 years’ overall professional experience. (i.e. Relationship Management, Humanitarian action, etc).
Minimum 2 years’ experience within the Movement and experience in working within the complex Movement landscape (eg. SMCC, Statutory Meetings, NSIA, etc.) an asset.
Successful experience in fundraising for not-for-profits including international experience an asset.
Demonstrated experience on multi-stakeholder projects, coordinating and consolidating different interests and finding solutions in a collaborative and co-creational manner, ideally in Asia-Pacific.
Demonstrated experience in summarizing complex subjects into simple and compelling concepts, able to be shared across a number of audiences.
Experience in drafting communication and engagement strategies.
Good understanding of current humanitarian issues and priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with international team members.
