The Logistics Assistant supports the Logistics team in Manila by handling requests, ensures follow-ups, and performs various administrative tasks such as but not limited to providing support in purchasing, import-export, warehousing, transport, filing, and archiving while ensuring compliance with ICRC procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles walk-in and ad-hoc purchases for the Manila delegation requirements.
- Receives and releases stocks from the warehouse.
- Organizes transport requests for domestic movements.
- Prepares documentation and coordinates with external forwarders for import-export formalities.
- Processes invoices for payment.
- Performs filing and archiving of documents.
- Organizes team schedules and activities.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- University degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Customs Administration, or equivalent.
- 1-year hands-on work experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Logistics or related field
- Previous experience in humanitarian work is an advantage
- Knowledge in ERP software application is an advantage
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly in Excel and Word
- Very good command of written and spoken English
