Under the supervision of the Water and Habitat Delegate, the Water and Habitat (WatHab) Engineer 1 will support the WatHab Department in the development and implementation of WatHab programs across Adamawa State. He will maintain regular communication with key interlocutors on behalf of the WatHab Department.
Main duties and responsibilities
Designs projects proposals (incl. rationale, physical-drawings- and process design, cost estimation, logistic needs, tentative planning).
Prepares tenders tender and contract documents for approved projects.
Carries out field trip to operational areas
Assesses WatHab related needs
Ensures the implementation of agreed works.
Ensure a proper and close supervision, monitoring of the implementation of WatHab project, under the guidance of the WatHab Delegate.
Provide training, support, monitoring of partners (i.e. National Society Staff, technical departments of local authorities, contractors) as required.
Attends to meetings with other actors involved in the field of water and if required (coordination, networking)
Ensures respect of the ICRC financial, administrative and logistical regulation rules.
Ensures follow-up of LOG supply chain (supply orders, purchases, contracts, stock management & replenishment, quality control, etc.).
Ensures with the support of finance department and the WatHab Delegate the financial follow-up of the projects.
Provides progress reporting on program implementation.
Provides input to operational reports (assessments, Quarterly reports).
Provides constant communication of program status, issues or concerns with the WatHab delegate
