Purpose
The Career Development Unit traineeship position(s) contributes in the field of career development programs, further building a positive employee experience at the ICRC. We need your help to develop and deliver resources and to organize and track activities which will help ICRC employees manage their careers at the ICRC. The post holder(s) should also support the team in the production and delivery of resources, data and metrics in an effort to position the ICRC as an employer of choice within the humanitarian sector. The programmes and services of the unit currently include Performance Management and Development, Employee Engagement, support to new line managers, employee career development, International Assignment planning, coaching and delivery of ad hoc team interventions around employee experience, management and team behavior.
Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities
Scheduling and Coordination of Coaching and Workshops
- Work with members of the career unit to schedule and coordinate coaching sessions and workshops including the logistical support required.
Content & Resource production
- Using design tools such as Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, but not limited to) to create content to support the activities of the Career Unit such as Performance Management and Development, Staff Engagement Survey and IAP
- Design and regularly update the Career Unit Page of the on the Intranet (ICRC internal platform)
- Assist in the development of capacity building activities & resources to support the programs of the Career Unit.
Metrics / Reporting
- Analyze, interpret and produce regular reports on Performance Management and Development & Staff Engagement Survey (Our Voice)
- Analyze, interpret and report data from the Career Unit, helping to discern and track important connections and evidence of impact.
Document Management
- Systematically keep track of all documents relevant to the Career Unit
- Create new information management processes if required in view of facilitating access to key information to colleagues in the field working with the Information Management Assistant to ensure consistency across the division.
Ad hoc support
- Provide ad hoc logistical support to the Career Unit
- Provide ad hoc project support to the Career Unit
Certifications / Education required
A University degree in Human Resources or relevant field
Language
- Excellent command of English and French
- Additional language skills (Arabic, Russian, Portuguese and/or Spanish) an asset.
