The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a Geneva-based humanitarian organization that protects and assists victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence without discrimination. It has been providing humanitarian aid in the Philippines for more than 70 years, with a permanent presence since 1982. The ICRC works closely with the Philippine Red Cross, its primary partner in the country.

Join the Human Resource team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC Manila delegation is looking for a:

HR Officer

(Based in Makati)

The HR Officer is in charge of the talent acquisition processes and further ensures a consistent hiring approach throughout the delegation. This includes, but is not limited to, training the recruiting manager on the existing behavioral interviewing tools, introducing new approaches of talent acquisition, and engaging a third-party organization to ensure smooth supply of staff. S/he supervises one HR Assistant position responsible for compensation and benefits management. The HR Officer is also responsible for reviewing monthly payroll and other associated documents.

MAIN TASKS:

· Takes lead on the hiring process, develops and executes a recruitment plan for each open position

· Networks with external similar-sector organizations and other employment agencies to ensure smooth supply of the required talent flow

· Ensures the quality of new hires and helps reduce the cost per hire

· Develops a pool of qualified candidates for potential opportunities

· Researches and introduces new sources of active and passive candidate recruitment

· Maintains records of hiring along with updated job descriptions

· Takes additional measures for some niche positions

· Prepares infographics and presentation for staff

· Coordinates with HR / Administration staff in other ICRC sites within the country to ensure a consistent talent acquisition approach throughout the delegation

· Reviews monthly payroll and associated documents for the HR Manager’s signatures

· Manages software/s used to generate salaries and other monthly and quarterly payroll related reports

· Ensures good supervision of an HR Assistant who is responsible for compensation & benefits

REQUIRED PROFILE:

A successful candidate will have:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field

· At least 5 to 7 years’ professional experience in a Human Resources Generalist post

· Knowledge of the best HR practices and local labor laws

· Good presentation and communication skills

A successful candidate may have:

· Master’s degree in human resources or a related field

· Internationally recognized certification is an asset
