Economic Security Field Officer
(Based in Makati)
The Economic Security Field Officer (Ecosec FO) provides technical support on all matters related to assessments, analysis, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and information management under the supervision and guidance of the hierarchical supervisor and according to ICRC and Ecosec standards.
MAIN TASKS:
· Manages all Ecosec related files such as data collection, analysis, and reporting in relation to monitoring and evaluation activities
· Handles technological support to the teams using the recommended devices
· Provides support in organizing and conducting economic security / vulnerability assessments in the sudden onset of emergencies
· Supports Ecosec information management systems by maintaining and updating databases of spatial, socioeconomic, nutritional, agricultural, livestock, market, and livelihood related data
· Provides input to the development of monitoring, review, and evaluation plans to assess and measure the achievement of expected results, in compliance with Ecosec evaluation and monitoring practices
· Delivers feedback on the formulation of the monitoring and evaluation strategies and supports their operationalization
· Contributes to evidence-based decision-making on program design and implementation, notably through making monitoring, analysis review, and evaluation findings accessible by developing innovative, user-friendly, and informative products
REQUIRED PROFILE:
A successful candidate will have:
· At least 4 years’ professional experience in a related field of activity
· University degree in a related field
· Knowledge in relief and livelihoods interventions through cash and markets
· Excellent command of spoken and written English, Tagalog and local dialects
· Good organizational skills
· Good analytical skills
· Good communication skills
· The ability to work under stressful conditions while maintaining patience, perseverance, self-confidence
· A strong commitment to the humanitarian mandate of the ICRC and willingness to work in and adjust to difficult contexts
As an asset a successful candidate may have:
· University degree in Geographic Information System and/or Statistics
