The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a Geneva-based humanitarian organization that protects and assists victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence without discrimination. It has been providing humanitarian aid in the Philippines for more than 70 years, with a permanent presence since 1982. The ICRC works closely with the Philippine Red Cross, its primary partner in the country.

Join the Information Management team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC delegation is looking for an:

Administrative Assistant (Receptionist)

(Based in Makati)

The Administrative Assistant is the first person to receive visitors and guests of the ICRC Delegation in Manila, as well as the main entry point for phone calls to the staff in the office and general inquiries. Being at the forefront, the position must be able to handle and adjust accordingly to different audiences or situations, embodying professionalism at all times.

MAIN TASKS:

· Handles the official mails of the delegation, both local and international

· Manages reception duties and provides assistance on information management (IM) in the delegation

· Ensures office supplies are available at all times

· Ensures compliance with the rules of visual identity in external presentations, letterheads, business cards etc.

· Ensures that all users understand the need for and apply ICRC related policy and procedures

· Carries out administrative tasks on behalf of the Information Management team

REQUIRED PROFILE:

A successful candidate will have:

· A bachelor's degree in social studies, international relations, or related field

· 4 years’ minimum work experience as a Receptionist and in administrative support or related capacity

· Capacity to deal with public visitors and address phone calls

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

· Technical proficiency in MS Office Suite, Sharepoint and IBM Lotus Notes

· Proficiency in internet navigation on mobile devices and computers

· Fluency in written and spoken English

· Ability to treat information confidentially

· Initiative and ability to work independently

· Capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment

· Aptitude to work well under pressure and can adapt to sudden change of priorities
