The ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok seeks to fill the following position:
Economic Security Generalist
(Livelihoods Support Programme Manager)
Duty station: Pattani
Job purpose:
In charge of the ICRC livelihood support programme in the Deep South of Thailand, the EcoSec Field Officer contributes to the assessment of economic security needs among the most vulnerable fringes of the population, as per ICRC mandate. S-he identifies and designs appropriate and relevant responses, implementing them and monitoring/evaluating the results with the other EcoSec team members.
Main responsibilities
Carries out assessments of the needs at community and household level, draws recommendations and contributes to the designing and planning of community-based livelihood support projects (i.e. food production and processing, handcraft, fisheries, agriculture, livestock, trade, services);
Organizes and manages the implementation of projects’ activities and budget, forecasting the use of resources, monitoring the project’s outcomes, and interacting with service providers, NGOs, State departments as appropriate;
Supervises and coaches junior EcoSec field officers;
Requirements and experience:
Degree in Sustainable/Rural Development, Agronomy, Economics, Social Studies, or other relevant field;
Excellent spoken and written command of English and Thai, knowledge of Malay is an asset;
Five-year experience min. in similar positions (preferably in an international organization);
Documented experience in the management of financial and human resources;
IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook.);

Willing to be based in Pattani, with frequent field trips to Thailand Southern Border Provinces, sometimes requiring overnight stays;
