Join the Human Resources team of an international humanitarian organization. The ICRC delegation is looking for a:
Staff Health Nurse
(Based in Makati City)
The Staff Health Nurse is the Staff Health Focal Point for all matters relating to the health of ICRC staff in the Delegation. In line with ICRC health strategy and in collaboration with medical personnel on the spot, s/he promotes and maintains the physical and mental health of the ICRC staff. S/he implements the staff health strategy in several domains identified by ICRC.
MAIN TASKS:
Assesses living conditions in the sub-delegation and offices and promotes standards of general hygiene (housing, use of mosquito nets, water filter, hygiene standards of cooks and cleaners, nutritional advice, etc.)
Monitors medical services for referral and treatment of ICRC staff
Provides advice and support to ICRC staff with health problems
Provides advice on medical needs of ICRC staff during transportation and coordinates medical evacuations from the field to the capital
Implements and supervises, in coordination with the Staff Health Doctor, the staff health policies and the ICRC HIV/AIDS program (where applicable) at all sites for which s/he is responsible (delegation/sub-delegation)
Implements and follows ICRC’s policy on stress management
Collects accurate and reliable data pertaining to illnesses, accidents and absenteeism, with a view to providing statistics on illnesses and the medical risks taken by mobile and, if possible, resident staff
Processes medical reimbursements according to ICRC’s policy and guidelines
Reports to the management and provides feedback and recommendations on issues related to the health of the staff in the Delegation
Carries out defusing and peer support groups following critical incidents in the field and follows up in case further intervention is required
REQUIRED PROFILE:
A successful candidate will have:
A bachelor’s degree in nursing
3 years clinical work experience
Experience in mental health and stress management
Experience in medical evacuation and transportation
Knowledge of tropical health and public health
Knowledge on pre-hospital care
Experience working in the ICRC is an asset
