ICT –TECHNICIANS (2 POSITIONS)

(MOGADISHU & GAROWE)

The ICT Technician is responsible for Installation, maintenance of IT equipment and infrastructure. The Technician is in charge of ICT help desk.

Your Responsibilities

• Handles maintenance, repair of IT equipment and installation of software;

• Installs and maintains telephone switchboards (PABX), telephone networks, programmes satellite terminals and their antenna sytems;

• Installs and programmes radio equipment and their antenna systems (HF, VHF and mobiles);

• Manages client expectations, ensures timely and adequate responses are provided to users through the ICT Helpdesk;

• Acts as the custodian of the ICT Policy;

• Ensures inventory management through regular checks of the physical location of IT equipment at all times;

• Submits regular and timely reports on installations, technical problems, solutions, repairs and inventory;

• Deals with information (general and specific) with due confidentiality;

• Ensures proper records management within the department;

Your Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology;

• At least three (3) years experience in Network Administration;

• Experience in HF and HHF Radio Installations, VSAT and Satellite technologies;

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Somali;

• Excellent organizational and communication skills;

• Flexibility and willingness to travel within Somalia and to spend short-medium periods in the field;
