The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian organization that works to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and violence. The ICRC has been working in the Philippines for more than 50 years. It carries out a range of activities to meet the needs of displaced and other vulnerable people, promote respect for international humanitarian law, and respond to emergencies, often in cooperation with its local partner, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
The ICRC Delegation in the Philippines is hiring for a:
DRIVER (Light vehicle)
Logistics Department
Based in Davao
Main tasks:
· Drives different types of light ICRC vehicles by strictly following internal security and national traffic rules
· Transports people and/or material
· Checks equipment on attributed cars, ensures proper fuelling and cleaning
· Moves independently in difficult security environments
· Frequent movement outside Manila
· Performs the daily vehicle BDA inspections (Before/During/After)
· Computes for the vehicle fuel yield in litres per 100kms.
· Maintains vehicle log book and daily trip monitor- sense of ownership
· Reports to the Car Pool Manager in Davao
Minimum Required Profile:
· At least high school level
· 2-year work experience in a similar function
· Basic knowledge of English
· Driving license for at least 5 years
· Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
· Masters 4/4 and VHF use (when required)
· Basic mechanical skills
