The Resource Mobilization Division (REM) is in charge of coordinating mobilization efforts across the institution to engage with multiple stakeholders ranging from donor governments, multilateral institutions, National Societies, the private sector including corporates, foundations, HNWI, UHNWI and the general public to maintain a sustainable stream of quality income for ICRC’s humanitarian operations worldwide. REM is one of the three divisions reporting to the department of Financial Resources and Logistics (RES).
The REM/IDC unit ensures as well the production of financial reports and analysis, for internal and external use, and is in charge of data management, data quality, marketing segmentation and analysis. Software and applications used by REM division, like Raiser’s Edge, D2D-Donor to Distribution, Peoplesoft EPM (datawarehouse), Tableau BI datasources (Business Intelligence), are managed by REM/IDC.
The Income Specialist is responsible to manage and monitor the timely recording of all cash, cash-for-kind and in-kind contributions from institutional donors and specific private donors on ICRC accounting and CRM systems. Making sure that all contributions are timely paid, acknowledged and finally thanked based on the procedures set in REM division.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a sound pledge documentation to comply with guidelines/procedures and stakeholders’ requirements, both internal and external
- Update and improve procedures concerning pledge recording, monitoring and maintenance to maximize output with minimal process time while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure the accuracy of data (data quality) entered in the REM CRM tools (Customer Relationship Management) to reflect contract/pledge contents and donor’s requirement
- Perform or review reconciliation of donation on a regular basis and request corrective action, if necessary
- Ensure the timely payment of donations
- Provide support to colleagues and respond to inquiries on donation related matters
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of pledge data (hard & soft pledges) in REM CRM tool.
- Coordinate with the Financial division on matters related to incoming payments and contributions
- Create and maintain customers data in PeopleSoft finance software.
- Prepare the necessary documents for pledge cancellation due to addition/deduction of pledge value, payments and other circumstances that affect the pledge amount.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data in Acknowledgement of Receipt sent to the donors
- Participate in the monthly and year-end accounting closing exercises
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 3 to 5 years working experience in accounting, financial analysis, statistics, and data quality
- Working experience with ICRC and other international organization is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of Excel Microsoft office, and other information systems
- Good knowledge of an ERP accounting system like Oracle-Peoplesoft, SAP, etc.
- Confirmed experience on accounts receivable accounting is a plus
- Good knowledge of a D/CRM software (Donor/customer relationship Management) like D2D, Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Dynamics or SalesForce
- At ease or fast learner with any computer tool and interested in new technologies
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau, Hyperion Web Analysis Studio, Hyperion SmartView, or others in an asset
- SharePoint knowledge is an added advantage.

- Good command in written and spoken English. Knowledge of French language is a plus
