Job Purpose
In order to be a trusted partner to deliver financial and support services, the Finance and Administration Division (FAD), through the creation of FAD Risk and Assurance team, aims to ensure an effective, efficient and formalized risk based internal control system over financial reporting.
Main Role
- Advisory role regarding risk assessment and control design working mainly with process and risk owners
- Coordination and development of solutions to address significant risk exposures / control deficiencies working mainly with process and risk owners and relevant stakeholders
Main Responsibilities:
Risk management
o Contributes and coordinates financial risk assessment exercise with FAD and related process owners
o Support the development and implementation of the FAD risk management strategy
o Performs data and root cause analysis as part of risk management activities
o Facilitates risk management workshop with FAD stakeholders
Internal Control System implementation
o Work closely with the FAD management and process owners, other métiers and relevant internal/external stakeholders to determine risk mitigation measures
o Supports process owners in risk and control mapping and documentation
o Participates in projects and workshops related to risk and controls
Selection Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy or finance related course
- At least 6 years overall professional experience, which includes a minimum of four (4) years in audit/compliance (preferably internal)
- Experience in working in an international environment and/or humanitarian sector is a plus
- Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus

- Understanding of different risks related to financial activities
- Knowledge of methodology and concepts linked to Internal Control
- Proven analytical skills including ability to gather, analyze complex data, summarize and communicate simply and effectively
- Assertive, team player and results oriented
- Pragmatist, able to strike the balance between operational constraints and effective output delivery
- Good communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to present ideas/concepts and take a consultative approach with stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Sufficient communication skills in English (written and spoken), any additional official ICRC language is an asset
