Job Purpose
The Project Officer 1 (Premises Management) helps organize and conduct project-management activities. S/he ensures that the ICRC's Project Management Framework is respected, and that methodology and tools are used correctly, for instance by supporting documentation, planning processes and information management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Performs duties of a foreman to the ongoing office floor renovation / improvement
- Monitors the work and workers ensuring quality, timelines, and respect of work schedule and ethics
- Inspects the fulfillment of the tasks and ensures that the project is on track with its deliverables
- Provides technical advice, proposes improvements and recommendation
- Prepares and submits regular progress reports (daily and weekly)
- Supports other premises related tasks, as needed
Selection Requirements and Profile:
- Engineering or Architecture background, licensed (strong advantage)
- Proven experience in handling construction project/s
- Occupational safety and health training or certificate is an advantage
- Effective and efficient in administrative tasks and reporting
- Flexible with time and location
- Amenable to work for 4 months fixed term
