The ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok seeks to fill the following position:
Supply Chain Officer, based in Bangkok
We are looking for a spirited team player with a can-do attitude to join our dynamic team.
The Supply Chain Officer carries out order fulfilment activities in accordance with Bangkok Logistics Support Centre (BLC) service level agreement. S/he ensures that all customers’ needs are understood, met, delivered and well communicated. S/he also makes information about potential or firm orders available to other logistics staff and those requesting services.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes and fulfils clients’ orders according to the ICRC’s logistical and financial procedures and pre-established fulfilment guidelines
- Ensures that the priorities set by the Supply Chain Coordinator(s) are followed
- Keeps service requesters regularly informed of the progress of their requests
- Records and files documents pertaining to the ordering process; registers and forwards claims and comments from service requesters
- Updates logistics dashboards and provides statistics
- Contributes to supply chain support for Asia Pacific Region:
- Follow up on movement of goods and transportation
- Investigating, solving and following up customers complaints
- Back order review and order completion follow up
- Follow up of acknowledgement of receipt of orders
- Follow up of urgent items with the purchasers
- Improving/ implementing customer service procedures, policies and standards
- Identify slow moving items and propose them to customers for use
- Follow up on direct deliveries from the suppliers to the sites
- Ensures that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to his/her role as described in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix
YOUR PROFILE:
- Technical degree in logistics, administration or equivalent
- Good command of spoken and written English and the local working language
- Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software an asset
- 3 years previous experience in administration or within a supply-chain or logistics department
- Good knowledge of the supply chain
