Change Officer (for Philippine Residents ONLY)

JOB PURPOSE

The Change Officer supports change brought about by either an individual project or organizational transformation that is likely to have an effect at multiple levels within a specific functional area. S/he ensures that necessary action is taken to provide appropriate support to all impacted staff while they are adapting to the change. S/he will need to work closely with the transformation lead(s), Change Advisers and Project Managers and to coordinate between different stakeholders (both internally and externally) in order to facilitate change management.

RELATIONSHIP

  • Internally, interacts with some or all of the following groups: transformation lead(s) and project team, Project Management Office, métier (senior) leadership and all métier teams affected by the change, and staff responsible for developing and implementing solutions from the project or transformation.
  • Externally, interacts with suppliers and service providers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the HRSS Business Process Analyst, HR IT & Project Team to devise strategies for effective project execution and user adoption
  • Under the guidance of the transformation lead(s), coordinates the implementation of change strategies with all relevant stakeholders (internally and externally)
  • Coordinates HRSS initiatives and reinforces collaboration and with the assigned Change Officer (HQ)
  • Leads the creation of change management materials for communication specific to HR Shared Services
  • Maintains an overview of deployment of the roadmap; tracks progress made, taking into consideration the time, resources and actions required for the deployment
  • Integrates input from stakeholders and other projects/initiatives that may affect the end user and works with the transformation lead(s) to inform deployment timing
  • Can create strategies and deploy effective resolution for change related issues and risks
  • Facilitates research-based training activities to target skill, knowledge and culture gaps related toimplemented change
  • Ensures that lessons learned are recorded and taken into account appropriately in future initiatives.

Additional duties may include:

  • Mentor identified resources and actively develop change management capabilities within the unit
  • Increase HRSS representation in the ICRC change practitioner community
  • Develop data tools that will help HRSS establish change management benchmarks and KPIs
  • Manage documentation for all change management initiatives

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a university degree in a relevant field
  • Certified and or experienced Change practitioner, have handled various change initiatives including projects and programmes
  • Training and certification on project management, six sigma or similar programs is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English, any additional language is an asset
  • Track record in coordinating, planning, and communicating with complex or senior management teams
  • Detail oriented and very good analytical skills, able to work in teams as well as independently
  • Experience in coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with complex stakeholder groups, e.g. organizing committees from different functional areas
