MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors the humanitarian environment and needs in Iligan Area of Responsibility (AoR).
- Shares pertinent information, reports and analyses related to the general situation.
- Establishes and strengthens the network of interlocutors and relative activities, under the supervision of the HoSS and in coordination with the Networking coordinator.
- Contributes to the designing and setting of relevant activities with respective departments.
- Holds internal as well as external meetings on behalf of the management, and contributes to the respective reporting, when applicable.
- Analyzes the contextual environment, development in terms of security, political, socio-economic and its impact.
- Supports the HoSS in handling the day to day security follow-up matters as well as the emergencies.
- Is responsible for handling sensitive interlocutors, hence, diplomacy is key while dealing with them.
- Might need to replace the management in meetings, supporting other departments, mainly the protection team in handling sensitive dialogue. The attitude as well as the know how is very crucial.
- Leads multiple teams to the field, ensuring the designing, implementation of activities in accordance with the ICRC mandate.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- University degree in Political Science, Social, Cultural Studies or related similar field of study
- 3-4 years overall professional experience in Humanitarian sector dealing with government, social, community and religious actors in Lanao area
- Have contacts in Lanao region
- High level of negotiations and social skills
- Awareness and respect of professional and institutional ethics, particularly with respect to confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, Filipino, Bisaya and Maranao
