Job Purpose:
In order to be a trusted partner to deliver financial and support services, the Finance and Administration Division (FAD), through the creation of the Finance (FAD) Risk and Assurance team, aims to ensure an effective and formalized risk based internal control system over financial reporting.
Main Role:
Supports key activities related to the design, implementation and monitoring of effective risk management practices in the Finance division.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of internal control reports and related data identified as part of the Risk and Assurance unit activities that will facilitate the translation of recommendation into action plans with management.
- Assists the Risk and Assurance team members in the execution of day to day activities respective to risk management and internal control activities.
- Contributes to the follow up and monitoring of control findings from relative risk and assurance activities.
Selection Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accountancy or Business Administration or any Finance related course
- At least 3 years work experience with a minimum of 1-year experience in audit or risk management (ideally internal)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an asset
- Experience working in an international environment is an asset
- Data analysis experience is an asset

- Knowledge of concepts linked to Internal Control
- Proven analytical skills including ability to gather, analyze complex data, summarize and communicate simply and effectively
- Assertive, team player and results oriented
- Pragmatist, able to strike the balance between operational constraints and the effective delivery of the unit
- Good communication and relationship management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent skills in Excel and PPT.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken), any additional official ICRC language is an asset
