MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The AP Associate works with a team under the Finance Shared Services, that primarily
- Records and manages the invoices in the system
- Responsible for the creation or modification of suppliers/vendor in the system including files maintenance
- Manages external and internal correspondence
- Reviews, process and follow-up suppliers' reminders
- Participates in the monthly closing activities
- Payment processing and forecast
- Coordinates/ escalates and resolves issues that impact the operations with the help of the management
- Proposes improvement of procedures and writes new procedures under supervision
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
- At least two (2) years working experience in data entry for accounts payable
- Experience and knowledge in Vendor Management is an advantage
- At least one (1) year working experience in general accounting
- Knowledgeable on accounting treatment of accounts payable and/or inventory transactions
- Experience with JD Edwards or PeopleSoft and experience in dematerialization tool is an advantage
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge of French language is an advantage
- Great attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Vigilant and has the ability to recognize risk of fraud
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Comfortable with office automation tools (e.g. Excel, Word, Lotus Notes).
- Ability to work in English (French and German, an asset)
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Readiness to work independently and under pressure
- Excellent aptitude to communicate and to provide (oral and written) replies to internal and externals’ requests
