JOB PURPOSE
To contribute to the definition and implementation of the finance transformation projects through the process mappings and solution designs in order to meet business requirements envisaged by the Finance and Administrative Division.
Within a LEAN/ Six Sigma/ Agile project methodology framework, the Business analyst helps the finance community translate the need for change into process and organization model i.e. delivering consistent, standardized business solutions across the finance organization.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform requested or needed reviews that analyze the current state of processes to identify gaps, optimize and redesign workflows for the improvement of operations of finance in the Headquarters, Field delegations, and then in other locations within the Corporate Service Network (CSN).
- Map all details of current "As Is" processes, to understand the scope of existing processes and systems, and identify opportunities to achieve optimization (simplification, standardization, and digitalization)
- Identify the transactional or very technical processes which could be, optimized through 4 steps: simplification, standardization, automation, then delivered outside of the field in global or regional hubs;
- Analyze all required changes with the relevant stakeholders to be processed through these 4 steps of optimization;
- Actively involved in assigned Finance projects journeys for project follow-up, business needs analysis, and description.
- Determine detailed needs of financial users, management, and other stakeholders by liaising directly with requesters/process owners in order to translate and prioritize requirements for application functional enhancements, and challenge business requests to ensure relevance to business objectives and priorities.
- Agree on scope and time scales with the business users and other stakeholders and supporting functions, to achieve the best possible match between operational needs and expected solutions to be delivered.
- Translates high-level business requirements into business processes, detailed requirements, and detailed functional specifications, and specifies components of solutions to support the delivery of user requirements right the first time.
- Provide support for the implementation of new/changed processes and/or solutions to ensure outputs are delivered to time and quality.
- Proactively communicate all related changes and deliver the necessary training to business users and management.
- Investigate and resolve user problems in order to minimize disruption to Business activity.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business administration or finance-related degree;
- Certification in Six Sigma / Lean / Lean Six Sigma or equivalent qualification;
- Minimum of 6 to 9 years professional working experience, which includes at least two (4) years performance of process mapping, analysis, and quality reviews
- Minimum of 6 to 9 years’ solid functional or technical experience in delivering and supporting at least one of the following in a multi-organization and multi-national environment: Processes description, Financial functions, Project management;
- Knowledge and understanding of general accounting and finance operations;
- Previous experience with facilitation and leading cross-functional review meetings;
- Experience in business analysis in a financial and/or a shared services environment;
- Experience with Process Mapping using Erwin/Visio and the like;
- Experience in an international working environment; working on local and global initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity for collaborative teamwork across disciplines,
- Good command of English, French language skills is an asset
- Certificate of good conduct
